The sultanate celebrated Omani Youth Day on Monday under the patronage of Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tarik al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth. The occasion also marked the launch of the Youth Proficiency Award which was presented to 21 young Omani men and women, honouring them for outstanding work in their respective fields.
In his speech, Sayyid Theyazin said, “On this day, we are pleased to extend our sincere congratulations to Omani youth, firmly believing in their vital role in continuing the building process of the sultanate’s renewed renaissance.”
He added, “The sultanate has paid great attention to the youth since the beginning of the Blessed Renaissance, and has harnessed their capabilities which enabled them to fulfil their responsibilities in advancing the process of progress and development and continue the achievements to reach their goals and aspirations.”
He noted that Omani youth have proved their high degree of national responsibility and commitment to participate in the sultanate's renewed renaissance.
