Pioneer Investors, a private venture capital company in the Sultanate of Oman, signed a deal with a Canadian Gaming Technology & GIS startup (TERRAUNITY); their products include a set of tools for automation in simulation and visualization of GIS data acquired from ESRI, NASA and other geospatial mapping providers which are converted into 3D scenes in Unity Engine. The team also fights to create realistic environments of Earth, Moon, and Mars. TerraUnity is a Canadian startup founded three years ago and made a virtual environment for electronic games.

The game industry is one of the trending fields that startups in several countries have turned to it. Pioneer Investors seeks, through this deal, opportunities to open the floor for talents in the game industry and specifically to create a climate for Omani startups to have a share in this emerging trend.

It is noteworthy that Pioneer Investors invests in several startup companies and various fields, including but not limited to the Internet of Things (IoT), educational technology (EDTECH), health technology (HEALTHTECH), environment, and financial technology (FINTECH).
